The next Aboriginal Art Reading Group meeting will be Monday, 15 November, 5:30PM in the Graduate Resource Room, ground floor of the Elisabeth Murdoch Building, opposite the staff kitchen.
We will be reading two chapters from Complex Entanglements: Art, Globalisation and Cultural Difference, edited by Nikos Papastergiadis published in London by Rivers Oram, in 2003. “Chapter 2: Dreaming Art,” by Marcia Langton, pp. 42-56, also published in part in Artlink (2000) and Blacklines (2003). Also, “Chapter 4: Parallel Universe, Other Worlds,” by Hetti Perkins, pp. 57-68, which draws on two co-authored exhibition catalog essays, namely Australian Perspecta (1993) and Papunya Tula: Genesis and Genius (2000)
